ST1 rotations:
Trainees spend 60% of the year at RLUH and 40% at APH, excluding block teaching weeks and induction period. It may also be necessary for trainees to attend Whiston Hospital for autopsy experience. |
ST2-5 rotations:

Training programme for ST1’s:
An induction (2 weeks) and PM introduction (2-3 weeks) take place at RLUH prior to the first block teaching week in Bristol. There is an ST1 specific teaching programme in protected time on a Monday afternoon (2-5pm). This usually takes place at RLUH and trainees are released from APH to attend. |
