11 Histopathology Trainees
ST1 rotations:

For the first year of training, ST1s are based at either Plymouth or Exeter.
ST2-5 rotations:

ST2-5 rotate between Exeter, Plymouth and Truro with at least 1 year at each of the three training centres.
Training programme for ST1’s:

  • 3x Southern Cluster block teaching weeks during first year
  • Regular interesting case (black box) meetings
  • Regular departmental TERA (training education research audit) presentations
  • Monthly regional training days scheduled and listed on pathkids.com
  • 9x half day ST1 teaching days split between Plymouth and Exeter.
  • 2x gynae cytology weeks
  • Ad hoc teaching from Consultants and senior STs
